Palestine: Med-EcoSuRe sets up a PV power plant at An Najah National University

8 October, 2020

An-Najah National University's Energy Research Center, Partner of Med-EcoSuRe project is implementing a photovoltaic plant at An-Najah's Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Educational Sciences and Teacher Training building (Figure below). The PV plant has a capacity of 160 kWp.

The PV power plant will enable to reduce the electricity cost of the University's both chosen faculties and the use of diesel fuel during the long hours of electricity cuts, which will offer a better and more comfortable environment to the academic and administrative staff within the university.

This action aims to promote and implement innovative technologies, as well as know-how transfer in the field of solar energy, in particular PV systems, in Palestine.
