In order to consolidate its involvement with the academic world, the Mediterranean Renewable Energy Centre (MEDREC) signed on December 8th, 2021 a framework convention with the National Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology (INSAT) represented by its Director Mr. Samir Hamza.

The two institutions have agreed to combine their efforts and resources in the areas of capacity-building, research and transfer-innovation related to the field of sustainable development. The parties have also decided to pool their resources and assets in order to develop bilateral projects proposals that could be submitted for financing to both national and international funding authorities.

In addition, MEDREC is committed to consolidate the efforts of INSAT in strengthening the capacity of its teacher-researchers in the field of sustainable development in general and in renewable energy more specifically. The Centre will also provide the necessary expertise to INSAT in technical, administrative and financial management to implement cooperation initiatives.
