Med-EcoSuRe energy renovation Toolkit as a guide for architecture students in Tunisia

University of Florence, partner of Med-EcoSuRe, participated, on the 10th of May, in 48h challenge event organized by Sole project, funded within the ENI CBC MED programme. 

This challenge is organized for the students of the National School of Architecture and Urbanism in Tunisia to propose innovative and cost-effective renovation solutions for a public building in Tunisia, in 48 hours. The building, object of challenge, is the one of the Municipality of Bizerte, which the city’s landmark and represents an important heritage value.

In order to provide the students with reliable source of information/documents, Med-EcoSuRe made available a Toolkit developed by University of Florence.

The Toolkit is a guide to innovate the renovation process of public buildings in the Med area, with information, procedures, tools and tips to create energy efficient, eco-sustainable, comfortable and beautiful future buildings.

Considering renovation as an innovation process, the Toolkit is based on a Living Lab approach, opening renovation to the entire university, local and global community.
