[Med-EcoSuRe] Energy-saving occupant behaviors in educational buildings

The energy consumption in buildings in the Mediterranean region is notably high. The performance of these buildings depends on various parameters, among which are the behavioral occupancy patterns.

With a few simple and low cost adjustments, the building occupants (students, professors, researchers, technicians and staff) can have a substantial impact, help reduce the amount of energy consumed within the buildings and achieve a low-energy lifestyle.

A series of animation videos were created, as part of Med-EcoSuRe project, to raise occupants’ awareness of building energy consumption and improve the indoor environment as well as the overall performance of educational buildings.
