REFAT launches the 512 kWc photovoltaic installation at Chott El Fejij, Gabes

SATER SOLAR SA, the head of the Tunisian-Italian consortium selected for the installation of 512 kWc Photovoltaic power plant in the framework of the call for tenders N°01/2019 of REFAT project, has officially launched the landscaping process of the plant which will be implemented in SONEDE water pumping station located in Chott El Fejij, Gabes. 

The implementation of this power plant is a step towards reducing Energy consumption of water supply in small-scale irrigation and drinking water production in remote areas, which is expected to cover 20% of the energy consumption of the water pumping station.
